Roberto Olayo-Alarcon

Hi there! My name is Roberto. I am a curiosity-driven scientist, broadly interested in how how data science, statistics, and artificial intelligence can be used to better understand complex biological systems and gain novel insights.

My research has focused on the analysis and prediction of the transcriptional response to chemical perturbations in human pathogens. This has included the development of software packages such as DGrowthR. I have also created novel molecular representation learning frameworks in MolE which we successfully applied to the task of antmicrobial discovery.

Take a look at some of my projects and publications.
